2878076 - Stock Transfer Inbound Delivery Notification Closed With Partial Quantity

You have posted goods receipt for the stock transfer Inbound Delivery Notification XXX with a partial quantity, the Inbound Delivery Notification is closed and you cannot post goods receipt for the remaining quantity.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Inbound Logistics work center.
2. Select Inbound Delivery Notifications view.
3. Find the Inbound Delivery Notification XXX.
4. Click Post Goods Receipt button.
5. Enter the Actual Quantity (less than the Planned Quantity).
6. Click Save and Close.
7. Notice that the Inbound Delivery Notification XXX is already Received and you cannot receive the remaining quantity.

In stock transfer scenario, when you release the Outbound Delivery for the full quantity, the Inbound Delivery Notification is automatically created for that quantity. If the Outbound Delivery and Inbound Delivery Notification are created for the full quantity, the Ship-From location has delivered the full quantity. Hence it is expected that you receive what was delivered, in this case only one Inbound Delivery is expected for the Inbound Delivery Notification, so the first Inbound Delivery created will close the Inbound Delivery Notification.

As only one Inbound Delivery is expected, the system is working as designed.
