2878315 - Provinces/States ISO Code not being displayed in RMK - Recruiting Marketing

Symptom

Provinces and States are being displayed as the full name instead of the ISO Code on the RMK site.
The correct behaviour would be for the code to be displayed. Seeing the label is a sign there is a misconfiguration in RCM.
The ISO code is what must be sent for the RMK State field to be correctly populated in the RMK database.
Incorrect configuration will have downstream effects in both RMK and Advanced Analytics.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
    • Location Foundation Object

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access RMK site
  2. Click on "Search Jobs"
  3. Under the Location column, the provinces/states of jobs posted is displayed as full name instead of an ISO Code

Cause

A possible cause is the picklist for those Provinces or States not matching with RMK mappings for Location.

Resolution

Correct the picklist as per following instructions:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Picklist Center
  2. Search for the picklist linked to the state/province field of the object (that can be checked in Provisioning > Import/Export Country/Region Specific XML for Corporate Data Model)
  3. Adjust the labels of the provinces according to the Standard: ISO 3166 — Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions
  4. To obtain the corect labels :
From the Country liste page :https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#search

Countries.JPG

Search for and select the Country. For example : Austria
The Subdivision Category State will be displayed with all the State codes and labels.
You will need to make sure your picklist labels match up with the Subdivision name entries in this list.
When this is done, the correct ISO codes will be sent to RMK.

Note: If you're adding a number in the State/Province/District field, please make sure it's not matching any OptionId from any other picklist in your instance. Otherwise, RMK will resolve this value as the label realted to this OptionId even if this is not related to the State field.
