2879580 - You get Error While Creating a New Sales Order: "Costs not determined"

You get error while creating a New Sales Order: Costs not determined: There is no inventory cost for material ABC in company XXX.

 SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Sales Orders Work Center
2. Select New Sales Order under Common Task
3. Add mandatory details in the sales order
4. Select the View All button and navigate to the Items tab
5. Add the product ABC (where ABC stands for the product ID selected)
6. Error occurs: Costs not determined: There is no inventory cost for material ABC in company XXX (where XXX stands for the ID of the company)
7. Go to Product and Service Portfolio Work Center
8. Select the product ABC
9. However, the cost has been maintained (cost type inventory cost) in the product master data. The Valid From is earlier than the posting date/pricing date of the sales order

While editing Material ABC, you get information message as "Check and save new valuation details for company XXX bus. residence YYY". (where YYY stands for the ID of Business Residence)

1. Go to Inventory Valuation Work Center 
2. Go to Material View
3. Select All Materials.
4. Enter Material ABC and Click Edit
5. Information message shows like below "Check and save new valuation details for company XXX bus. residence YYY"

Only this values will save in Material Valuation BO for further processing.

1. Go to Inventory Valuation Work Center 
2. Go to Material View
3. Select All Materials.
4. Enter Material ABC and Click Edit
5. Navigate to Valuation tab
6. Maintain new cost and remove the old one
7. Click Save
