2879599 - Smart Variants changes for My Views in 1709 and later

There are some changes on the UI5 Smart Controls. The Variant Management (My Views) behaviors changed.

1. What is the behavior if user created a Shared/Public Variant directly in Production? Do users still need to add them as Favorite?

--> The creator of the variant will see the variant, but all other users will need to set the favorite of this variant via the manage dialog.

2. What is the behavior if user created a Private Variant directly in Production? Do the user still has to add it as favourites ?

--> No, the variant will be defaulted as favorite.

3. What happens if we create Public Variants in test system and move it to production? Do users still need to add them as Favourites to show them on initial popover?

--> Yes, since the favorites are User changes. (see also the answer to the first question).

4. It seems that variants now don’t display in the My Views list in 1709 unless they are added as a favorite. It seems this is a change in UI5 1.52 as documented here:https://experience.sap.com/fiori-design-web/v1-52/variant-management/#add-to-favorites Can you confirm it’s expected that no shared variants will appear unless the user manually selects them as a favorite?

--> Yes, this is the expected behaviour
