Symptom

In BPC embedded, the following error is received when you try to save or post a journal.

  • Failed to save the journal.
  • _000 An exception of type 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL' occurred, that was not caught anywhere in the call hierarchy. It was not handled locally or declared using a RAISING clause.
  • JOURNAL_ERROR An exception with the type CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL was raised, but was not handled locally or declared in a RAISING clause.
