2880577 - Unable to Scope Lease Management Accounting Due to Error During Finish Project

You want to scope lease management accounting. When you finish scoping, error 'Currently unable to finalize these scope changes; some of your decisions would cause inconsistencies in your fine-tuning settings or the productive data. If error messages are displayed, resolve them before you proceed.' occurs.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select First Implementation and click Edit Project Scope.
4. Navigate to step 4 Questions.
5. Expand Financial and Management Accounting -> General Ledger -> General Ledger.
6. Mark question 'Do you want to enable lease accounting for lessees' In Scope.
7. Click Next.
8. Click Finish.

Error 'Currently unable to finalize these scope changes; some of your decisions would cause inconsistencies in your fine-tuning settings or the productive data. If error messages are displayed, resolve them before you proceed.' occurs.

You have maintained the net content of asset class 5000/5100/5200/5300/5400 in the fixed asset classes activity in business configuration. However, 5000/5100/5200/5300/5400 is the pre-delivered content for RoU asset class.

You need to remove the record for 5000/5100/5200/5300/5400 in fixed asset classes.

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Search and open activity Fixed Asset Classes.
4. Click Edit Fixed Asset Classes.
5. Select Asset Class 5000 and click Delete.
6. Click Save and Close.

If you already have a Fixed Asset with one of these Fixed Asset Classes, the Fixed Assets need to be moved to a different Asset Class. You can fix this issue by copying the range 5*** to Z-5***. This will allow you to delete the class 5*** as described below. The Fixed Asset Class can be copied in the Business Configuration setting "Fixed Asset Classes", then Edit Fixed Asset Classes and copy Asset Class 5*** to Z-5***.

The Asset Class can be changed from 5*** to Z-5*** under Master Data tab of the Fixed Asset. Once this is complete, you can delete the class as described in the steps above.

Then you can scope lease management accounting. After the scoping of lease management accounting is completed, you can see pre-delivered ROU asset classes 5000,5100,5200,5300,5400 in the following path.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Overview view.
3. Search and open activity Lease Management Accounting.
4. Click Edit ROU Asset Classes.
