Symptom

What are the main advantages and features of the Internal Career site Powered by CSB?

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
  • Career Site Builder

Resolution

The Internal Career Site powered by Career Site Builder (CSB) aims at bringing a single consistent branding experience to both Internal Career Site and External Career Site. As the External Career Site already carries the desired user experience that has benefitted external candidates, the same experience is now being brought into the Internal Career Site for internal candidates. The new Internal Career Site is responsive and mobile friendly. Introducing the same experience in the two sites reduces the overhead task of maintaining two different career sites.

Once logged in via the Employee Login button on the RMK site or when accessing the career tab within Bizx, the employee only has visibility on internal jobs.

Many features in Career Site Builder now carry an Internal option. Note that at this point, not all features are configurable for internal candidates only:

Features which can be configured for internal candidates:

The components on all Pages (Home, Content, Category and Landing pages) now have the additional visibility option of "Internal" so site adminitrators can pick and populate which components they want to show to internal or external candidates. This means administrators can show different content to each group.

Job data : some of the job requisition fields in RCM are internal fields :  Internal Title, Internal Description. With ICS, RMK now imports internal jobs and the internal content is used.

(Note the field mapping needs to be done for this to happen . See Mapping Recruiting Management Fields to Internal Career Site for Internal Jobs)

Job layouts : Though the job layouts also carry the internal box for their components, the CSB Job Layout Mapping cannot be different than the one used for external jobs as this is configured in Command Center and does not carry an internal option.

For more information on job layouts, see KBA 2657841 - Job Layouts in Career Site Builder.

Category page rules: the rule editor now carries an Internal option so rules can be created for internal jobs.

Features which remain global and therefore wil be applied to both the internal and external sites:

Global settings and global styles : These will apply to both the internal and external sites as there is no specific configuration. These would include Site Styling, Search settings, Site Header and Footer, links and navigation.
