Symptom

  • A client connection executing DBCC PSS command is unexpectedly terminated.
  • ASE errorlog contains an "infected with signal 11 error" in the function  _IO_vfprintf() together with a stack trace:

Current process (0x499d07d2) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00007f5ffef3d351 (_IO_vfprintf+0x1bb1), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))

  • The stack trace set contains the following modules:

        vsnprintf
