2882412 - Error Message When Using Report Value Help

Symptom

 Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

You created a custom data source and you are trying to select a value for the 'XYZ' characteristic using the Value Help via Report Wizard or Selection tab on report. It keeps loading until 'Report cannot be opened; Report an incident' or 'An Exception Occured' messages are experienced.
