Symptom

During system update using Software update manager (SUM) in phase PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION the following error is reported:

2EETN031 Disassembling R3trans data file of Support Package "SAPK-753BHINSAPUI" terminated
Trouble Ticket Generation

This error can occur for any package, and may even occur with SPAM/SAINT

If you check the logfile of the package /usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/log/SAPL-754BHINSAPUI.SID you can find error message like

2EETW152 Cannot open file "/usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/data/R-754BHINSAPUI.SAP"
