2883168 - Error when Scoping UK Making Tax Digital: "Target UI could not be determined in the current scope. Please ask your system administrator to check the scoping"

Although UK Making Tax Digital is scoped, it is not possible to complete the setup of the functionality.

The question "Do you use the UK Making Tax Digital" is in scope and the related activity UK Making Tax Digital has been created within the same implementation project. But when trying to open the activity, the following error occurs:

"Target UI could not be determined in the current scope. Please ask your system administrator to check the scoping."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Go to Implementation Projects view
3. Select the relevant project
4. Open Activity List
5. In Fine-Tune step, open UK Making Tax Digital
6. The error appears

The scoping changes only become effective when the change project is merged and Activate Solution Capabilities is completed. With the current setup of the business option and the scoping rule, it is not possible to access the screen in a change project, where the option UK Making Tax Digital has just been switched on.

In order to move forward, first merge, activate, and close the current project with the scoped "Do you use the UK Making Tax Digital" question. This sets  UK Making Tax Digital into scope. Then create a new change project and maintain the activity, which should then be accessible.
