2883309 - Error "Go Live Not Possible. Workspace is Not of Type Pre-Production"

Symptom

When trying to go live with system, you receive the following error: 'Go Live not possible. Workspace is not of type Pre-Production'

Environment

  • SAP Cloud For Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign  

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Select the affected change project.
  3. Open Activity List.
  4. Select the Go Live tab.
  5. Select Confirm Go Live.
  6. Select Next.
  7. Select Finish.
  8. Error Occurs.

Cause

The system is a DEMO system, and go-live activities cannot be performed in it.

Resolution

 These activities can only be performed for pre-production systems, that is, test systems created with the purpose of becoming a production system, or production systems directly.
