You receive automatic system generated incident with subject:

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center (SAP Business ByDesign) or the Administration work centre (SAP Cloud for Customer).
2. In the Task Distribution, click Business Task Management (SAP Business ByDesign) or, go to the Business Task Management view (SAP Cloud for Customer).
3. Select Unassigned Items.

This happens when system is unable to assign the task to the responsible person.

e.g. if the responsible person does not have the relevant access rights to complete the task, then system is unable to assign the task to that person.

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center (SAP Business ByDesign) or the Administration work centre (SAP Cloud for Customer).
2. In Task Distribution, click Business Task Management (SAP Business ByDesign) or, go to the Business Task Management view (SAP Cloud for Customer).
3. Select Unassigned Items/ All items
4. Search and select  the respective document
5. Click determine assignment button
6. You will see action log created and  appearing when you scroll down
7. Click the action log ID to open it
8. Refer the general, results tab for detailed information to understand the reason for the unassignment
9. Take necessary action accordingly and then try the same steps again from 1 to 5

Note:This details are applicable for any task unassigned in Business Bydesign.
