2883911 - How to Troubleshoot Email Sending Failures

Symptom

When an email fails due to reasons outside of the application, the logs are not indicative of what caused the issue. Usually, only the below will be visible in the application logs.

  • Sending the email to the following server failed : localhost:1024

  • Sending the email to the following server failed : smtp.gmail.com:587

  • Sending the email to the following server failed: smtp.office365.com:587
