How do I change the order of the values from the Location, Department and Division objects so they display on a specific order in the Job Requisition page?

Resolution
The Location, Division and Department are Foundation Objects, so they need to me managed through the tool Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures. They are also composed by the same fields of any other Foundation Objects as well, and what that means is that these objects have a Name, which is from where the system order them by, and a language label, which is what the system display to the user on the screen. With that in mind, we can manipulate what is the specific Name of the objects, that control the order and the label:
- First, we access a Job Requisition, so we can see the current order that the fields are. On this case, we have the Location field ordered like this:
- Now access Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures, and find the objects you want to change the order. On this case we will be reordering these three locations. First, accessed the boston location, that is the first on the order, and the field we are going to be changing is the Name:
- On the History, click in Take Action -> Make Correction:
- Change the Name field from "Boston" to "03 - Boston":
- Still, if clicking on the little globe, right next to the name, we can see the label that will be shown, on this case English US:
- Now, just update the other records, so access San Diego, and change it to "01 - San Diego" object and do the same:
- Do the same for the New York object:
- With all saved, go back to the same Job Requisition again and check the order it shows:
- We now have the order as: San Diego, New York and Boston.
