2885891 - Errors 692, 834, 4216 or 4218 error in replicated system - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A 692, 834, 4216 or 4218 error is reported in the SAP ASE errorlog, for example:
     
    • Error: 4216, Severity: 21, State: 1
      DUMP TRANSACTION failed in database mydb: unexpected end of log encountered on page 6623751 while scanning for page 29712441.

    • Error: 692, Severity: 20, State: 1
      Uninitialized logical page '25839' was read while accessing database 'mydb' (5), object 'syslogs' (8), index 'syslogs' (0), partition 'syslogs_8' (8). Please contact Sybase Technical Support.

  • The errors are seen after DUMP TRANSACTION is executed or when Rep Agent is started.
  • LTL mode replication is enabled.
  • The Rep Agent configuration parameter 'multithread rep agent' is set to 'true'.
