2886187 - How to Activate Tax Number Category Duplication Check for Business Partners in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

There is a requirement to activate the Duplication Check for a Tax Number Category in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Enter a tax number for a Business Partner e.g. IE0 Irish VAT number
2. The Same VAT number is entered for another Business Partner
3. No warning or error is raised

1. Open the Manage Your Solution App or access your CBC system.
2. Search for the Activity/SSCUI 102415 - Maintain Tax Number Categories.
3. Create a New Entry (or use 'Copy As') for the Tax Number for which the Duplication Check should be activated.
4. Change the "Duplication Check" setting from "Off" to "On".
5. The system will now issue an info message warning that another Business Partner exists with the same tax number (**this can be changed to an error message if extra restriction is needed, if so, see the KBA in the reference section).
