2886376 - Permission Roles Not Working For Job Information

• I tried creating a permission role to grant the user access to view and edit department and cost center for other employees. However, after making the changes to permission roles, the changes did not reflect when I proxied in as granted user and tried updating a target user's department. The job information portlet and compensation information portlet does not appear.

Role-based permission and target provided is correct however the access to the portlet via "Employee Views" category has not been provided.

Go to permission role > Employee Views category > provide access to required views.

Even after "Employee Views" access is provided the portlets can be disabled for all the users via tool "Configure People Profile".

You can hide entire section using check on the right hand side, or at individual block levels.

This setting will apply to all users irrespective of Role-based permission. It means this is a configuration base for people profile sections and blocks (portlets) common for all users.

For the next layer for visiblity of fields and actions role-based permisison access is required.
