Symptom

 Error "You are not authorized to create hierarchy" raised in app Manage Global Hierarchies (App ID F2918) when importing FSV

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In App Manage Global Hierarchies
  2. Select Import Hierarchy
  3. Enter in Source Maintain Financial Statement Version
  4. Financial Statement Verison ID
  5. Create a Hierarchy based on, enter relevant data
  6. Click on Button Create

Cause

Financial statement maintenance should be done by SSCUI 150003

Resolution

  1. Manage your Solution App
  2. Click Configure Your Solution
  3. Application Area: Finance, Sub Application Area: General Ledger, Item Name: "Chart of Accounts" 
  4. Step Name"Define Financial Statement Versions in Global Hierarchies" (ID 150003)
  5. Click Configure button, then navigate to Manage Global Hierarchies App
  6. Import your financial statement
