2886739 - Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill - Italy

You maintain for a Supplier, the Payment Method: Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill. When making a payment to this supplier using this payment method, you receive the below error message and you are unable to maintain this payment method at the bank level:

Bank account XXX does not support payment method Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Payment Management work center.
2. Go to the Payment Monitor view.
3. Search and select the In Preparation Payment ID: YYY (YYY stands for the ID of the payment).
4. Open the payment and select View All.
5. Select the Payment Method: Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill.

Error Message: Bank account XXX does not support payment method Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill.

6. Go to the Liquidity Management work center.
7. Go to the Master Data view.
8. Select My Banks sub view.
9. Select the Bank ID: ABC (ABC stands for the ID of the bank account).
10. Select Edit > Bank Accounts.
11. Select the relevant Bank Account Number.
12. Select the tab: Payment Method.
13. Add Row to select the Payment Method.

Payment Method: Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill is not available for selection.

• The Payment Method: Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill is not support at Bank level and cannot be maintained at Bank level. 
• You cannot create a Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill payment via the Payment Management work center / Payment Monitor.
• Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill is use for manual payment of invoice only via the Supplier Account Monitor.

This is the correct / normal system behavior. For Italy, SAP Business ByDesign only offers / supports Bill of Exchange Collections. Hence, Bill of Exchange Payable Sole Bill is not available for selection at Bank level.

To proceed this payment, you need to select both payment and invoice from the Supplier Account monitor and click the button "Clear Manually".
