2887898 - Replacement of character “&” with the character “&” in a process step after SAP S/4HANA CLOUD 2002 upgrade.

Symptom

While testing the scope items using the "Test your Process” App or the "Manage your test process" App below issue occurs;

"The character “&” is getting replaced with “&” in a process step. Moreover, “amp;” is getting appended the number of times the user tries to edit and save a process step".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open App "Manage your solution".
  2. Go to App " Test your process" or "Manage your test process".
  3. The user observes that if a character “&” is present in the label or value column, it will get converted to “&” after clicking on save in 'Manage Your Test Process' app. The same can happen when the user tries to edit/create a data variant in 'Test Your Process' app where only value field is editable.

For example, the application tag of Test your Process is “CloudSolution-manage&/h4screen=test”. If the user has a process step with this application tag and edits it thrice, then the final output will look like this: “CloudSolution-manage&/h4screen=test”.

Cause

This is a regression issue in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2002.

Resolution

Since the repetitions of “amp;” are clearly visible in the process steps, our development team is working to correct this issue as part of HFC04 update.

Please note that the executions of the test plans are not affected due to this issue as this case is taken care internally.
