Symptom

Rarely, customers may experience an assertion failure in module st_txncb.cxx with a stack trace similar to the following:

.. hos_memmgr::AllocHosMem.. 
... operator new.. 
.. st_txncb::CheckpointLock.. 
.. st_txnMgr::Checkpoint.. 
.. db_Checkpoint::Execute..

This problem will occur with the following message:

  • All available virtual memory has been used; allocation cancelled
