2889413 - saphostctrl -function ListDatabases returns 'No databases found' - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

  • saphostctrl -function ListDatabases returns 'No databases found'.
  • DB is running fine on OS level and can be accessed.
  • Have performed the steps in Note 2236137 - SYB: saphostctrl/sapdbctrl - enable discovery for native ASE database installations, but still returns the same.
  • Below error is printed in dev_sapdbctrl:

[PID xxxx] SybServer::init: Could not locate local secure store /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/<SID>/security/rsecssfs/data/SSFS_<SID>.DAT

  • Further check may show SSFS_<SID>.DAT does not exist under /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/<SID>/security/rsecssfs/data
