2889691 - Right to Return not update positions that are assigned to employee while in leave - Employee Central

Symptom

User is unassigned from Position while in Leave of absence, after that you inserted a new record on his job history changing the position, however you noticed that the new position not updated with the right to return information highlighting that the employees is in leave.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • Position Management
  • Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Employee Profile
  2. Create a new Leave of Absence

    Result:     Employee now is unassigned from his position.

  3. While the employee is in leave and unassigned from the Position
  4. Insert a new job information on his profile
  5. Assign him to a new position
  6. Check the Position Org Chart

  Result: The new position assigned has no right to return.

Resolution

Expected behavior, system consider that the employee is on a leave just for the first position, while he is leave system does not expects that the employee will be transferred.
