2889939 - General Tab Missing for the Migration File While Using Enhance Mode for Materials

Your requirement is to enhance Materials using the migration tool and you have filled the required data in the respective sheets like General, Other Languages etc. in the migration file. Upon trying to enhance the Materials using migration tool, even if your upload file contains data in the General sheet, the General tab of the migration file is missing in the migration tool.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Select Implementation Projects view or Overview
3. Search and Open the activity Migration of Materials
4. Choose Migrate materials using the migration tool
5. Select You Can Also at the top right corner of the screen and Download Migration Template
6. Fill the necessary fields and upload the migration file in the migration tool
7. Select Properties and choose the migration mode: Enhance already existing records
8. At the bottom of the screen, in the details of the migration file, you see that the General tab is missing

Since 1811 release, the General sheet is not relevant for the migration mode Enhance already existing records.

It is the system behavior that when Enhance already existing records migration mode is used for Migration of Materials, the General tab is not available in the migration tool.

Note: This is applicable for all other modes of migration as well.
