2890262 - Session.connect: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out to SFTP - SAP SuccessFactors

Using middlewares like SAP CPI, Dell Boomi and integration center report that save the data on SFTP, you could receive errors like:

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

• Integration Center
• Boomi
• CPI/HCI

There is a wrong configuration to SFTP access.

There are some points to verify:

1. If the URL from SFTP is right - You can double check on KBA 2250792 - SFTP Public IP Addresses and URL's for Data Centres;
2. Check if the SFTP protocol is selected;
3. Check if the port is set to 22;
4. Verify if the computer/server with the service have internet access (verify if there is some proxy on network is a good idea too).
5. Test your SFTP access with other tools like FileZilla, etc
6. If you are using SF SFTP and your failed too many times (wrong credentials, etc), your IP address could be blocked or under block list too (this information the LOD-SF-PLT colleagues could check for us).

After completing all validations above and the issue is still unresolved, please open a ticket on SAP Launchpad.
