2890874 - Data type of Map Astract Data Type is lost after upgrade - SAP PD

Symptom

  • Type of Abstract Data Type (ADT) is Map in a Hadoop Hive 1.0 Physical Data Model (PDM).
  • In PD 16.6 SP06 and earlier, both a primitive data type and a value data type can be specified (Struct, Array, Map, Uniontype, Standard) on the General tab.
    Examples of definition:

map < string, string >
map < string, array < string > >
map < string, struct < attr1 : string, attr2 : string, attr3 : string > >
map < string, uniontype < string, string, string > >

  • In PD 16.6 SP10, there is no Value Data Type list anymore. User can choose either a standard data type or an abstract data type.
Complex data type is lost, only the primitive data type is preserved:

map < string >
