2891307 - How to convert ABAP trace by profile data analyzer and analyze it with SAP JVM Profiler

Symptom

The profile data analyzer is able to analyze performance trace as documented in KBA 2879724. Besides analyzing the performance trace within the profile data analyzer, it also has a feature to convert the ABAP trace to SAP JVM Profiler format(*.prf) via the export button for advanced analysis. This KBA is the guide about how to analyze this exported *.prf file in SAP JVM Profiler format.

This KBA will show the following functions in SAP JVM Profiler to analyze the converted ABAP performance trace.

  • Performance Hotspot Trace
  • Method Parameter Trace
  • Allocation Trace (in case of memory information is collected following KBA 2881237)
