Symptom

  • In rare circumstances, LOAD DATABASE fails due to error 834. 

    Error: 834, Severity: 20, State: 4
    Illegal attempt to clean buffer: BUF=0x0x00000001b24aa798, MASS=0x0x00000001b24aa798,
    ************************************
    SQL causing error : load database test from 'test.dmp'
  • The following stacktrace happened after Error 834.
    exc__raise <- exc_raise <- cm_dbclean <- bufdbclean <- buf_offline_database
  • There was no Error 1105 before Error 834 happened.
  • The issue happens when an earlier DUMP DATABASE was interrupted by ctrl+c.
