Symptom
This KB article provides answers to common questions raised regarding PFS Requirement Query.
Environment
SAP Successfactor Onboarding 2.0
Resolution
One step of the ONB 2.0 configuration is requesting the PSF Url and configuring this URL in Provisioning. At the moment we miss a clear documentation on the details of what is this all about.
- What is the actual service which is integrated here?
The document template management - Where is this service running (data center, country, is this GDPR compiant)?
It is similar to the SF data centers.Yes, the service is GDPR compliant - It seems to be related to generating documents with personal data what exact data is how transfered and processed?
There is field mapping, where the PDF fields are mapped with the Onboarding fields. The data which are mapped are sent to PFS and PFS generates the PDF with the data and template and returns the generate PDF.
The PDF is not stored.
PFS does not process the data within. It embeds the data to the template, generate the PDF. - Which technical security infrastructure is in place (encryption, ...)?
Documentation of PFS : Follow SAP Help for P User
The request form for requesting the PFS URL for activation ONB 2.0 requires a P-User. P-Users are "private" users which are usually used to provide non-customer / private persons access to SAP resources which are publically available like the SAP community. Our clients raise serious concerns about this.
P-User is NOT a private user, it is a public/technical user of a client. Follow this Blog Post
S-user is more an account name for an individual.
