2895736 - 400 Bad Request when updating user in Identity Authentication Service

Symptom

  • A user can no longer be updated in IAS with SCIM Rest API call https://<tenant ID>.accounts.ondemand.com/service/scim/Users/<id>. Error is '400 Bad Request' in Postman or in IAS UI simply 'Bad Request'. IPS update also fails.

  • SAP can find a similar error in Splunk logs:

"PUT /service/scim/Users/<userID> HTTP/1.1" 400 25 "-" "Apache-HttpClient/4.5.11 (Java/1.8.0_231)" "<IAS_tenantID>.accounts.ondemand.com"
