You would like to hide "Area" tab when inserting Data Source in Analysis Office.

Reproducing the Issue
1. Open Analysis Office
2. Insert Data Source in Analysis Office
Resolution
You can hide Area tab by adding Authorization Object S_RS_FOLD in user's role.
- Refer to the steps in note 2540518 define the authorization object S_RS_FOLD.
The authorization object S_RS_FOLD can be defined in the same way in Bex analyzer and in Analysis Office.
- Check note 2418359 - AO: Check S_RS_FOLD authorization for display of InfoAreas in Open Dialog.
To enable the functionality in Analysis Office, you need to check the followings: - This functionality is available with Analysis Office 2.5 (or higher).
- Add the configuration setting CheckInfoAreasAuthorization with value True. (see KBA 2083067 - How to maintain settings for Analysis Office 2.x )
- Ensure your system has higher support package level than note 2418359 or you have implemented the note 2418359 in transaction SNOTE.
