Symptom

  • Open Server Error 16382  is reported in the Backup Server error log:

    Open Server Session Fatal Error: 16382.15.0: The configured maximum number of mutexes have already been created.
    Backup Server: 2.8.2.20: Couldn't create semaphore for session 62. This session must exit.
    Backup Server: 1.72.1.1: Bitmap routine called by function BM_CREATE returned -1

  • Backup Server crashes with signal 11 followed by various stack traces, including bs_trap:
