Symptom

Executes the SQL statement which calculates the free space of a database and get error message Msg 3606.

select size-curunreservedpgs(u.dbid, u.lstart,u.unreservedpgs) from master..sysusages u where dbid=n
go

Msg 3606, Level 16, State 4:
Server 'ASE', Line 1:
Arithmetic overflow occurred.
