Symptom

  • Error: "DBDriver failed to init : com.sap.connectivity.cs.java.drivers.helpers.exception.ParameterException: Error while parsing parameters: For a local filepath or pattern the location type must be set to 'LOCATION_LOCAL', but was LOCATION_REMOTE" occurs while testing a relational connection to a text file  from IDT.
  • Text file location is remote.
