Symptom
When running R3trans to test the connection between the SAP system and an Oracle database, it finishes with code 0012.
The resulting trans.log file contains one of the following errors:
Scenario 1:
4 ETW000 [dlux.c ,00000] *** ERROR => DlLoadLib()==DLENOACCESS - dlopen("/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/dboraslib. so") FAILED
4 ETW000 "rtld: 0712-001 Symbol CreateIoCompletionPort was referenced
4 ETW000 from module /oracle/client/12x/instantclient/libclntsh.so(), but a runtime de finition
4 ETW000 of the symbol was not found.
4 ETW000 rtld: 0712-00" (errno=8,Exec format error)
4 ETW000 [dbcon.c ,00000] *** ERROR => Couldn't load library '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/dboraslib.so'
2EETW169 no connect possible: "maybe someone set invalid values for DIR_LIBRARY ('/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run') or dbm s_type ('ORA')"
Scenario 2:
4 ETW000 [ dev trc,00000] Loading DB library '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/dboraslib.o' ...
4 ETW000 [dlux.c ,00000] *** ERROR => DlLoadLib()==DLENOACCESS - dlopen("/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/dboraslib.o") FAILED
4 ETW000 "rtld: 0712-001 Symbol slputcpread2 was referenced
4 ETW000 from module /oracle/client/12x/instantclient/libclntsh.a(shr.o), but a runtime definition
4 ETW000 of the symbol was not found.
