Reproducing the Issue

  1.  Go to the Sales workcenter.
  2. Go to the Sales Order view.
  3. Click New to create a new Sales Order.
  4. Click Add Products.
  5. Copy the Products from your excel file and paste them in to the line.

Resolution

The standard logic for Quantity Defaulting for Copy&Paste with Fast Order Entry is the following:

Case 1. If the Quantity is provided, it will be taken over.

Case 2. If the Quantity is not provided (is initial), the quantity will be determined as follows:

Case 2.1 If a minimum order quantity is maintained in the product, this minimum order quantity will be defaulted as quantity.

Case 2.2 If a minimum quantity is not maintained and the BC question for the product quantity default (see below) is answered with 'true', '1' will be defaulted as the quantity.

Case 2.3 If a minimum quantity is not maintained and the BC question for the product quantity default is answered with 'false', '0' will be defaulted as the quantity.

Case 3. If the BC question is answered with 'true', and the sales quantity Unit of Measure in the Excel is different to the default sales quantity Unit of Measure in the product master, then any '0' quantity in the Excel will be taken over.
