2899734 - Appointments with attendees send an automatic invitation email

Symptom

With the outlook server side integration, when C4C appointments with attendees syncs to Outlook, an invite is sent automatically.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create an appointment in C4C system.
  2. Add attendees to the appointment.
  3. The appointment will be synced to Outlook.
  4. An invitation email will be sent to all the attendees.

Resolution

This is the current system behaviour. While creating events with attendees in Outlook (syncing them from C4C to Outlook), this sends invitations automatically as this is "by design" behavior for Outlook (when user creates new event with attendees it sends invitations to attendees). For now there is no way to disable/change this logic from Profile settings or settings on Admin Panel.

However, it is possible to prevent C4C from syncing appointments to Outlook and sending out invitation emails. Please achieve this by disabling appointment sync option. You may refer to the screenshot below.

*Note: This KBA is also working for Visits and Phone Calls.
