2901215 - Fixed Asset Deactivation Date Cannot Be Maintained

It is not possible to deactivate a Fixed Asset by entering a Deactivation Date as this field is grayed out.

1. In the Fixed Assets work center go to the Fixed Assets view. 
2. Open the respective Fixed Asset via Edit - Master Data.
3. In the Life Cycle Data sub-tab you want to enter a Deactivation Date. 

But the Deactivation Date column is read-only.

The Deactivation field is only available for migrated Fixed Assets.

Not migrated Fixed assets with a netbook value higher than zero cannot be deactivated by setting a Deactivation Date. Here, the consistent course of action is to scrap the asset.

Steps to scrap the Fixed Asset via manual postings:

For the Fixed Asset choose Manual Postings and select Complete Scrapping, either within the Fixed Asset or from the Fixed Assets view.
