2902143 - Storage access violation in omni_parse_name_using_optional_bracket() - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • A user connection is unexpectedly terminated.
  • The ASE errorlog contains a system exception due to storage access violation with a stack trace:

attempted read from memory location FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF from instruction at location 0x00000000004394F9
Adaptive Server Enterprise system exception (0xc0000005) generated by a storage access violation.
