Symptom

  • A user process executing a stored procedure is terminated with a timeslice error in the module sparclock() together with a stack trace:

timeslice -501, current process infected at 8148f288 (sparclock+0x40)

  • The stack trace includes functions:

cm_cleandes
bufcleandes
des__clean
des_objdrop
des_endxact_processing
_$o1ceygN0.xact__endxact
xact__commitxact
xact__commit_local
xact_commit
dropo
dropobject

  Note: A more complete stack trace is available under Attachments.

  • The impacted process gets hung in “sleeping” status while dropping a temp table.
