You intend to assign a contact person as sales partner via Migration Cockpit and want to know the recommended approach.

Resolution
As described in the documentation about Migration Object Customer:
To assign a contact person as partner, first create the customer with the contact person, but without sales data. Then, use the Customer - extend existing record by new org levels migration object in a second step to assign the sales data together with the contact person in partner capacity.
The steps to be followed are:
- Create the customer with the contact filling the Migration Object Customer. The below image shows the customer with contact person:
- Use the Customer - extend existing record by new org levels migration object with this data to add the sales data. You should fill the sheet Sales Data as the following:
- Also in Customer - extend existing record by new org levels migration object you should fill the partner function in the sheet Sales Partner, as the below example:
