2903740 - Error During Confirmation of Product Count Using Excel Tenmplate

When you confirm Product Count Task using Excel Template you will encounter error 'Addition of new product ABC in task 999 not allowed'

where ABC is the Product ID and 999 is the Count Task ID.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Physical Inventory workcenter and Task Control view
2. Select Task ID 999
3. Select Confirm with Microsoft Excel
4. Save the Excel and Enable Editing.
5. In the excel select the Fill Handle in the last row and last column of the active cell and drag one row.
6. Add new Product ID, logistics area and other relevant information.
7. Go to SAP BUSINESS BYDESIGN tab
8. Log in
9. Save data to
You will encounter the above error.

Since the Count Method in the task is Product Count it is possible to only add existing product with a valid Logistics Area.

You cannot add new product using excel or in UI once the task is created.
