Symptom
The following error occurs when attempting to update the process flows via Admin Center > Update Process Flows for Onboarding and Offboarding:
Error occurred: You do not have 'BPE Task Execution' permission to set [user] as service user.

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Admin Center > Update Process Flows for Onboarding and Offboarding
- Select Process Flows:
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Onboarding Only
- Offboarding Only
- Select Service User
- Update
- Error occurred: You do not have 'BPE Task Execution' permission to set [user] as service user.
Cause
- The selected Service User has not been created and/or is not assigned to the OnboardingBPEServiceUser group.
- The user performing the update on behalf of the Service User does not have the required BPE Task Execution permission.
Resolution
- Validation:
- Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Permission Groups
- Group Name: OnboardingBPEServiceUser
- Verify whether the Service User has been added and confirm if there are any members assigned.
- If no users are currently added, please add the appropriate Service User to this group.
- Granting 'BPE Task Execution' permission:
- Navigate to Admin Center > Proxy Management
- Under Make Assignments
- Grant Proxy:
- Who will act as the proxy(username): <User you are currently logged in as>
- What account holder will the proxy act on behalf of (username): <Service User or SFADMIN>
- Grant Proxy Rights:
- Grant rights to the following modules/tabs: BPE Task Execution
- Save
- Updating the Process Flows:
- Navigate to Admin Center > Update Process Flows for Onboarding and Offboarding
- Select Process Flows:
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Onboarding Only
- Offboarding Only
- Select Service User
- Update
