2904546 - Invite to Apply email sent in undesired/wrong language - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When sending the Invite to Apply email to candidates ([Candidate Summary Page] > Actions > Invite to Apply), the email received by the intended recipients are in an undesired/wrong language.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management - All versions

Cause

This is probably falling into the system expected behavior. As stated in our Recruiting Handbook, "When a Recruiter invites a candidate to apply, the e-mail is sent to the candidate in the locale of the logged-in user. For example, if the Recruiter has logged in using Deutsch (German) locale, the candidate receives an e-mail in the German language. This applies to the Late State Application also."

Our Product Management team is planing to have this behavior changed, so the email will be received in the candidate's locale, but this still requires further testing and development. We still have no date as for when this will be patched (Internal development task ID: RCM-74534).

Resolution

As stated above, this is a system expected behavior and changes to that are already in the pipeline for future releases. In case you would like to provide suggestions to this behavior, please follow our Enhancement Request process.
