1. Go to Data Workbench work center
2. Click on Import view
3. Click on Complete Business Object
4. Click on Insert
5. Click on Standard Object
6. Search for the relevant object
7. Click on Excel Workbook (.xlsx)

A possibe cause why the excel workbook of the object cannot be exported is that the object could have multiple fields with the same UI label. There might be a standard field and a custom field with the same UI label. When the code list for this property is generated, there are two files with the same name. Since there cannot be two files with the same name, the 404 error occurs. The issue would also happen with the download of the csv file. The zip files allows to have multiple files with the same name. But when extracting the zip file, the extraction would also fail.

The solution is to change the name of the custom field.
