2905543 - Product Specification Description not shown in Stock Overview although Product Specification Description is maintained

You observe Product Specification Description is missing in Stock Overview for the Product DEF (DEF represents the Product ID) although Product Specification ID is released and Product Specification Description is maintained.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Outbound Logistics Work Center.
2. Navigate to the Stock Overview.
3. Run Query for Product DEF.
4. You observe Product specification description is missing for the Product DEF although it is maintained.

You can verify  the same by following below mentioned steps:

1. Go to Product and Service Portfolio Work Center. 
2. Navigate to Product Specifications View.
3. Search for Product DEF.
4. You observe Product specification description maintained for Product DEF and the corresponding Product Specification ID is released.

You have maintained the Product Specification description in another language other than the English Language. SAP cannot convert it to any other language as conversion may not always be meaningful.
To see the description in English you should explicitly maintain the description in English language as well. Then when you logon to the system you will be able to see the description.

You need to maintain Product specification description explicitly for the login language.
