2908273 - 2005 Time Sheet Enhancement: Alerts From Time Valuation

Symptom

Before:

Only error message could be raised in Time Valuation.

After:

Another option to raise 'Alerts and Warning' is introduced in the Time Valuation's 'Message Type' field. This option can be used to raise an alert and warning.

Resolution

  • In Time Valuation's 'Message Type' field, a new option is introduced 'Alerts and Warning'.

  • This option can be now used to raise an alert message on save/submit of time sheet.

  • The related alert can be found by navigating to Admin Tools -> "Admin Alerts 2.0" -> Select 'Time Valuation'.

NOTE:

  • Admin Alert permission should be provided to Manager/HR/Admin, if access to 'Admin Alert 2.0' is needed.

  • The value is currently shown in minutes only. There's no option currently to change the Unit.

  • There's no functionality currently to get an e-mail for the alerts. An enhancement ticket "TLS-14921" is raised for the same. It's tentatively planned for b2011 release.
  • The warning message currently shows only on Save/ Submit. It' will be enhanced to show during time valuation itself(i.e even before save). Enhancement Ticket "TIM-13053", planned tentatively for b2011.
