2908655 - Difference Between Total Value In Sales Quote Work Center and Net Value in a Report

You are working with a report based on the Sales Quotes of your system, when you notice that when comparing the 'Total Value' information available in the Sales Quote work center view with the 'Net Value' key figure in reporting does not match.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Sales work center.
2. Go to Sales Quotes work center view.
3. Search for the concerned Sales Quote ID.
4. Open it.
5. You can see the value for 'Total'.
6. Go to Business Analytics work center.
7. Go to Design Reports work center view.
8. Search for the concerned report.
9. Filter for the concerned Sales Quote ID.
10. You can see 'Net Value' key figure as a different number compared to 'Total'.

There might exist a difference between the values shown in the Quote Header and in the Reports due some canceled items in the Sales Quote. The value of 'Total' in Sales Quote work center view excludes these canceled items and just shows the amount of not canceled items. However, the value of 'Net Value' in reports includes canceled items as well as not canceled items. That's why the report might shows a considerably value higher for 'Net Value' when compared to 'Total' of Sales Quote work center.

If you would like to check if there are canceled items in a Sales Quote, please follow these steps below:

1. Go to Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to Design Data Sources work center view.
3. Search for the 'Sales Quote Item [CODCQTIB]' data source.
4. Preview it.
5. Select the concerned Sales Quote ID as filter
6. Refresh it
7. Add both 'Sales Quote ID' and 'Cancellation Status (Item)' characteristics to the view.
8. You can see if there is some item with 'Canceled' as value for 'Cancellation Status (Item)' characteristic. 

Additionally, if you would like to display the same value of 'Total' from Sales Quote work center view for 'Net Value' in reporting, you can add 'Cancellation Status (Item)' characteristic for your custom report and filter by 'Not Canceled' value. It will display the same values of 'Total' to Net Value.
