2909261 - Infected with 11 at LeLOBCache::LeLOBCacheInsert - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Client process unexpectedly disconnected while inserting a parameterized value into an image column using setUnicodeStream.
  • An infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV) error message appears in the SAP ASE Errorlog  
  • The following functions are reported in the stacktrace

    LeLOBCache::LeLOBCacheInsert
    tdsrecv_params
    tdsrecv__dynexec

  • An exception is raised by jConnect

    Exception caught! The parameter of type 174 did not have a valid value.
    com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybSQLException: The parameter of type 174 did not have a valid value
